ABOUT ASCEND

We are a team of individuals that broker not just insurance packages for clients BUT broker the relationship between you AND your insurance company. We have a mindset of SERVICE and HELPING through simplicity as opposed to selling or positioning through complexity. We specialize in helping individuals 50+ with their life and health insurance needs.

JASMIN HENDERSON

Jasmin first and foremost is my little sister, as such she has my heart. Don’t mess with my little sister. However she is the behind the scenes and makes our engine go. She is an Organizational Admin for Ascend. She wears many hats for this organization, manages the communication from our insurance companies, stays on top of contracts, reminds me of key appointments, updates the CRM, an emotional sounding board, etc. She makes people feel cared for and that’s why we enjoy having her on the team.  She has been in the insurance industry since 2019 in a multitude of roles. I’m not sure what exactly keeps her around, whether its that she feels responsible for me because I’m her brother, or if it’s that she enjoys the work we do, and purpose for which we do it.
Her main job in life is “Mama Jasmin”. She’s a mother to Aria, and she is guardian for our mentally handicapped Uncle Daryl as his custodial caregiver. In her free time she unwinds with puzzles or a good book.
 
We are thankful that she’s on the team.

JACOB MCNICKLE

Jake is our CRM wizard. I don’t know that Jake has ever gone to school for IT but I asked for help once, and then kept leaning on him ever since. He also wears many hats for us on a part time basis. He is responsible for all the handiwork and custom coding in our CRM. So the birthday and holiday messaging our clients receives and the automated check in messaging. Any time I need something done on the CRM, I call Jake and he’s on it.
 
Some of my clients may have even spoken to Jake because when I have an influx of calls or if we are in busy season he is an individual that can step up as a licensed agent. He takes the same care and consideration for my clients needs as I do, and he adheres to the expectation of our Client First culture.
His main gig is a salesman for a bathroom remodeling company (so if you need your bathroom remodeled and you’re in the vicinity of NE Ohio, he’s your guy). He is one that puts integrity and customer service above his own personal needs. For him I am grateful.

Outside of work Jake is an avid gym goer. He spends a lot of time in the gym, and posting about his visits to the gym. Especially his gym visits with his best pal Bruce, pictured above. Jake spends a lot of time with his family, and friends, and his pal Bruce.

KHALED JABER

Khaled can take an idea and bring it to life digitally. He created our brand image, and he manages any content, videos or pictures we bring to the internet. He manages our social media presence though we have dumped the idea of a “social media” website for the time being; So it lies in dormancy. 
 
Khaled is a consultant for us, and he is a Creative Director for several businesses and individuals. We are grateful that he has brought us into his fold. He’s one of my better friends. 
Outside of work, Khaled is a family man. A devoted husband to Haneen and a doting father to baby June. He is active in the Jordanian community here within Cincinnati.

About Daniel

Daniel graduated from Miami University in 2010 with a BA in Business Administration. He majored in Accounting and Decision Sciences and minored in Business Analytics. With graduation upon him he chose not pursue a career using his analytical degree and to pursue a career that focused on the interaction with others. He began in the corporate sector of recruiting, but after four years in that space he walked away from corporate because he wanted to do more impactful work within the community he lived. He found his way into the insurance industry in 2015 and hasn’t looked back. Instead he has planted his flag deeper by combining his analytical education into the design of a business and client interaction process to ensure clients are being served on the front end (education of plan options) and the back end (customer service). Sure that he could improve upon the existing status quo Daniel started Ascend Insurance Solutions in 2024. He does so by leveraging strategic partnerships with insurance companies and local businesses alike to assist his clients with their insurance needs.

Daniel takes a great deal of pride in his number one job which is being a family man. He and his patient spouse Sophie welcomed four children in 4 years; Stella, Hudson, Iris and Miller. When he’s not serving his clients, you can be sure to find Daniel either playing dress up or throwing a ball. Daniel and his family attend Summit Church faithfully each Sunday.
